sanCheck ("the Service") takes your privacy seriously and complies with applicable law. This policy explains what information the Service collects and uses, how long it's retained, and what rights you can exercise.

When you use the "Current location" chip, the browser's Geolocation API retrieves your coordinates, which are converted to a weather-grid cell. These coordinates are not stored on sanCheck's servers — they're used only for the weather lookup request.
When you enable notifications, your browser-issued Web Push subscription data (endpoint, encryption keys), selected area (grid coordinates and neighborhood name), notification items, language, and unit preferences are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. This data is used solely to send notifications, is deleted immediately when you turn notifications off, and any subscription left unused for one year is automatically purged.
Display unit preferences, saved locations, and subscription state are stored in your browser's localStorage. This information stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
sanCheck does not currently use any analytics or tracking scripts. Infrastructure-level logs collected by Cloudflare to operate the service are outside sanCheck's direct control.
sanCheck's server calls the Korea Meteorological Administration (short-term forecast, UV index, radar, visibility), Korea Environment Corporation (air quality), Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI, solar terms), and Kakao Local (place search) APIs. Only the minimal information needed for the lookup (such as coordinates) is passed along — no personally identifying information is shared.
sancheck.app plans to display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads tailored to your interests (personalized advertising). For users in the EEA (European Economic Area) and the UK, we request consent for personalized advertising through Google's certified consent management platform (CMP), Funding Choices.
Push notification subscription data is deleted immediately when notifications are turned off, and any subscription left unused for one year is automatically deleted. Weather lookup caches are kept only briefly and in a form that cannot identify any individual.
sanCheck is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.
